NFT for Good Forum: Experts Discussed How NFT Can be Used for Good Purposes at the HKSE Summit 2022

Non-fungible tokens (NFTs) are a new type of digital technology that has many faces: a digital asset, a digital ownership proof, a bridge to metaverse (virtual worlds), a way to connect physical goods with digital presence, etc. After two years of ups and downs, that led to some who thought that NFT is nothing but just hype, the NFT has been quite stigmatized in many ways, given the ease with which criminals exploit the technology for vice activities. To do justice to this promising technology, a few experts gathered and shared their thoughts on the characteristics, pitfalls and opportunities brought about NFT in an event called NFT For Social Good, which is a part of the Academic Forum at the HK Social Enterprise Summit, held on 25 Nov 2022 in Hong Kong.
